Alisa’s Legacy Lives On and Continues to Impact the Lives of More and More Survivors

Alisa Evans, our founder, was a visionary leader, and even when Covid shut the world down she used the time to research and develop a plan that would take Alive at Last to a whole new level by building an online platform and community that would help us offer support to survivors, mentors, small group leaders, safe houses and shelters throughout the DFW area and beyond.

Thankfully she initiated the beginning of this plan and shared it with others who have been able to build upon what she started after she got diagnosed with brain cancer and sadly passed away a few short months later.

Without this online platform, many of the women in our program and much of our content would have been lost.

One example is a survivor connected with Alisa just before the pandemic. Alisa took her under her wing and arranged counseling services for her through one of the counselors we work with. During the pandemic and Alisa’s illness, she fell through the cracks but thankfully got plugged back in through our new online platform.

She was hungry to learn more, grow, and get more connected but her work schedule prevented her from attending our monthly Empowers and Healing the Spirit Sessions with Carolyn Dunegan. We gave her a scholarship to Empower U where we offer recordings of all our past training sessions on demand.

Since that time she has taken advantage of learning from all our amazing speakers and she has been making great strides through our mentorship program.

She has been an enthusiastic supporter of Alive at Last and invited many other friends to our community.

Alisa’s legacy is continuing to weave a beautiful tapestry of women in the DFW area and beyond, whose lives are being transformed by Jesus and the ministry of Alive at Last.

Would you consider weaving into this tapestry by making a donation to the Alisa Evans Legacy Fund?

This fund will help expand Alive at Last’s capacity to serve more women and children while increasing our financial stability, and ensuring the ability to minister to survivors for years to come.

Thank you for your interest in helping women who have been trafficked and sexually exploited to live free and discover their God-given purpose.
