Did you know there are two major vulnerabilities for the women we serve? These two areas of vulnerability can cause women to continue the cycle of abuse and poverty. However, if they recognize these areas of vulnerability and are given tools to overcome them they break the negative cycle and live free for a lifetime.

The two vulnerabilities are economic and relational. Alive at Last addresses both areas of vulnerability through small groups and one-to-one mentorship.

Thanks to generous donors like you Alive at Last provided 14 women in a shelter with the opportunity to identify relational vulnerabilities due to dysfunctional family patterns, not knowing their own value, and lack of personal boundaries.

Our summer small group ended with a makeover and fashion show for all 14 participants. After the fashion show, a catered lunch was provided for all participants and those who partnered to make it happen.

This event was a collaborative effort with The Rise Program (Prostitution Diversion Program of Tarrant County) Union Gospel Mission, Salvation Army, and The Women’s Center Tarrant County.
