Our Approach to Restoration and Renewal

Alive at Last exists to help survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking discover lasting freedom and healing through trauma-informed, Christ-centered support.

Body, Mind, Soul, Spirit

Whole-Person Transformation

We believe healing is not just about the mind or body—it’s about the whole person. That’s why we address spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical aspects of recovery.

  • Survivors are guided through a process of restoration that nurtures their God-given identity.

  • Our approach is grounded in biblical truth and led by trained volunteers who provide compassionate support.

Trauma-Informed Healing Environment

We create safe spaces where survivors feel seen, heard, and respected.

  • Our volunteers receive ongoing training in trauma-informed care through monthly training events and our online community app.

  • We recognize the impact of complex trauma and respond with gentleness, consistency, and grace.

  • Each interaction is rooted in respect for individual pace and choices.

Biblically Based Principles

Christ-Centered Healing

We center everything we do on the redemptive power of Jesus Christ.

  • Survivors are invited—not forced—into a journey of spiritual discovery.

  • We present the Gospel as a path to true freedom and lasting hope.

  • Our volunteers model the love of Christ through mentorship, prayer, and consistent presence.

One to One Mentorship

We pair each participant with a trained volunteer mentor for 1:1 relational support.

  • Mentors walk alongside survivors as trusted guides and spiritual friends.

  • Mentorship focuses on listening, reflecting, praying, and empowering—not fixing or forcing.

  • This relational model builds trust and promotes personal growth.

Biblically-Based Healing Curriculum

Our groups use proven, biblically-based curriculums to walk through themes of healing, freedom, identity, and restoration.

  • Topics include: reclaiming identity, setting healthy boundaries, breaking trauma bonds, and discovering God’s purpose.

  • Small group leaders foster a welcoming space where participants can share and grow together in community.

Community & Connection

Healing happens in relationship—with God and with others.

  • Survivors connect with one another in safe, supportive environments.

  • We host small groups, workshops, and gatherings that encourage mutual encouragement and belonging.

Partnering for Greater Impact

We collaborate with local ministries, churches, shelters, and agencies to create a network of care.

  • We refer survivors to trusted partners for counseling, housing, job training, and more.

  • Our partnerships extend our impact and help women rebuild every part of their lives.
